Adamo Microschools

Families across the United States are increasingly looking into  options like Microschools and Micro-pods, or Learning Pods. Arizona is home to these new and innovative models of schooling known as “microschooling” and there are more options becoming available everyday for families to choose from!

Microschools generally consist of small groups of about 8 to 10 students meeting in a home, office, or studio.  There, teachers or guides shape the learning experience for kids and work alongside them to set daily goals. In microschools, kids learn to take responsibility for their work and days.

Oftentimes these groups are made up of children across various age groups. The multi-age microschool is similar to the one-room schoolhouse from decades ago. Innovative  for its flexibility, the microschool often meets for a few hours each day or for three full days a week, depending on the needs of students, families and teachers.

Adamo Education is just one microschool available to Arizonans. This school is an example of the next evolution of learning which combines the best elements from traditional, online and at-home learning and creates a positive, personalized environment where children love to learn.

At Adamo Education, all instruction is led by certified teachers. Adamo Education accomplishes this by partnering with EdKey, Inc., a large charter school network. Their dedication to high standards strengthens minds using proven, evidence-based, engaging digital curriculum aligned with state standards. Their digital platform provides a fantastic tool for instruction which parents and students have access to 24/7.

Adamo Education connects children to the world around them with in-person, multi-age classrooms in their  facilities in Fountain Hills and their new location in Queen Creek. Both schools serve children in grades K-8 and are now enrolling for the ’22-’23 school year, with morning, afternoon, and full-day sessions led by certified teachers.

“Our model is different from anything else available today, and what really sets us apart is our certified educators developing hands-on learning with quality attention for every child. We believe every child can learn and every student can be successful,” said Tamara Becker, founder and CEO of Adamo Education.

Adamo Education is in good hands. Becker is an educator with 25 years of experience in traditional, charter, online and hybrid school models. She began her career as an elementary school teacher, and has taken on roles evolving to director of special education, assistant superintendent and most recently, vice president of a large national education organization.

“I saw an opportunity,” Becker noted, “to take the best from what we’ve known in education thus far and create the next evolution. Families have been wanting more for their children, and I’m thrilled to be able to give them the flexibility and personal attention they crave with the teacher-led quality instruction their children need.”
